I started my Plumbing career while working for a local pool builder in San Diego building custom pools and providing customer service. Years later I then took up a job with Plumbing Plus as an apprentice working in the field while attending plumbing school. I soon had acquired my certifications as a Journeyman Plumber as well as specialty certifications and contractor’s license with a Plumbing specialty C36. As a young Family man I was determined to provide a stable career in a profession I was passionate about and Plumbing was just that, a passion!
Over the years I helped thousands of customers with their Plumbing needs and found great satisfaction from being their hero and making their life a little easier. Plumbing Plus provided a place where I could excel at what I did and share in the pride all of the companies team members. The company was a breath of fresh air with exceptional procedures in place and some of the best customer service and retention I had ever seen.
There is a “team” and “family” atmosphere that I feel can’t be matched, and a personal relationship with each client that creates a great sense of pride in what we do. Today, as the new proud owner of Plumbing Plus, I feel it is my duty to maintain and enforce the values that have made this company so successful. Do what’s right, listen to customer needs, and always strive to be the best.
I have joined the local Chamber of commerce, the Better Business Bureau and the PHCC of San Diego to help me maintain these ethics of professionalism. I have now been on the board of the PHCC (Plumbing Heating and Cooling Contractors) of San Diego for two years helping to maintain and establish industry standards as well as training those new to the plumbing industry.
My goal is to provide a place that customers can come to anytime and know that they are in good hands. Let’s face it… there are a lot of “bad” contractors out there taking advantage of people and I want to be a part of the motion to change that stigma. You should have peace of mind that your serviceman has your best interest in mind so we gear everything around customer satisfaction. I praise my employees first and foremost on our customer’s satisfaction and will stop at nothing to ensure that every customers needs are met to the best of my abilities.
I cherish every spare minute with my Family creating memories with my 4 children and high school sweetheart. We enjoy Movie nights at home, swimming at grandma and grandpas and playing the music loud.
I was born in San Diego and grew up in Poway. For the past 16 years, I have been a plumber with Plumbing Plus. I thoroughly enjoyed interacting with my clients and solving their plumbing problems on a daily basis. My business philosophy, and that of Plumbing Plus, is to provide our clients with the highest level of craftsmanship and quality materials at a reasonable price while maintaining a sharp focus on the best interests of every client. Now I have been granted the opportunity to practice this philosophy from the perspective of Service Manager. My responsibilities include assisting the owners with daily operations, managing the plumbing staff, inventory, payroll, and customer service.
What I like most about working at Plumbing Plus is the family-business atmosphere and the teamwork environment.
Owner Comment: “I like to say that Randy “is Plumbing Plus” You won’t find a guy that’s more honest and truly and I mean TRULY compassionate about our/his customers. I knew when I was making the decision for a service manager that Randy was the best fit. He can figure almost anything out and does it with such pride and diligence. He enthralls himself into everything he does and soaks up information like no one else. He’s so dedicated to his work and it shows!” Thank you Randy for being you! “
In my free time, I enjoy sports (Chargers, Padres, and golf), off-roading in my dune buggy, poker, movies, music, and just about anything with my wife and 2 daughters.
My duties at Plumbing Plus include receiving customer calls and dispatching service calls to technicians, ordering parts for the warehouse and documenting our customers’ needs to be sure the technician is prepared when he arrives at their homes. I keep track of our technician’s locations and make sure we are all on schedule. I completed Plumbing 1 ROP adult education to gain technical understanding of plumbing systems but have learn the most from our customers and plumbers.
What I like about working at Plumbing Plus is the unexpected challenges, being able to handle emergencies as they arise. Being able to help a customer makes me feel like I’m helping in a tough situation. I have been at Plumbing Plus for nearly 10 years now. We are a family here. We help each other out and work well as a team. We all take great pride in our work and want the customers to be completely satisfied each and every time.
Owner comment: “Kelly is like no one you’ve ever met. Her energy is contagious and we all benefit from it. She’s our resident Disc Jockey and when things slow down and we need a boost, she’s there for us bumping some jams or making us laugh. She can multitask to the point of making us jealous and is extremely attentive and compassionate to our customers’ needs. Many folks fail to appreciate the job of a dispatcher and Kelly is the definition of a GREAT dispatcher!”
I like to read and watch movies. I do a lot of community outreach to those less fortunate and organize and cater parties when given the opportunity.
I am currently in year 2 of the PHCC plumbing apprenticeship program and have been perfecting my knowledge of Plumbing Service and repair. Being able to earn as I learn with the highly qualified plumbers here is a blessing to me. My goal is to become a master plumber. I aim everyday to quickly learn and acquire new experiences in the field. What I like best is that day to day the work changes. I never get bored and I never know exactly what can be thrown my way or what I will end up doing. This keeps me excited and makes my job enjoyable challenging. At the end of it all, you get to be someone’s hero and I consider each customer as my very own.
I enjoy working here because takes everyone takes such pride in their work. Every employee here enjoys helping their customers with their problems. The positive attitude and outgoing work force here makes the company one of the best around as far as I’m concerned. I’ve made Plumbing Plus my home and intend to uphold the company values for years to come.
Owner Comment: “Chris has a drive that most young people seem to lack now days. He’s one of the quickest learners you’ll meet, just show him once and he’s got it. He comes to work for his Family and displays a sense of professionalism that fits the Plumbing Plus Standards of excellence. Though newer to the Plumbing industry there’s seems to be nothing he can’t handle. We are so glad to have had the opportunity to add Chris to the Team. He will be a big part of our future success and our client’s satisfaction. I can’t believe the amount of praise he receives from both his peers and our customers.”
In my spare time I enjoy hiking, surfing, visiting wineries, football and of course being with my wife and new baby boy. After a long week of work there is nothing better than just to relax and do absolutely nothing though too.
I have been a plumber in San Diego for 18 years and with Plumbing Plus now for 10 years. Before starting this career I was a chef in the restaurant business. I have extensive experience in all aspects of plumbing including hydro jetting and cleaning of drain lines, waste, water and gas line replacements and repairs. I’m certified in PEX, Trac Pipe, Ward flex, PE gas pipe and Noritz Tankless water heaters. Like most that work here, I have been able to establish great relationships with our customers and value that like no other.
What I like best about working at plumbing Plus is the recognition I receive for my technical experience and ability to assist my customers with their plumbing issues. We have a great team that I enjoy working with and I love the satisfaction I get from helping my customers with their plumbing issues. People here are like brothers and sisters to me and I really enjoy work as sick as that may seem to some.
Owner Comment: “Robert is one of our lead Plumbers… When we need to train someone, Robert does the job. He won’t let anything slip through the cracks. He’s the guy that’s always 15 minutes early, truck is immaculate, tools are in there places and his jobs go off without any issues. He’s always prepared and extremely efficient. The job may not start for 3 weeks but he was ready the day after the project was established. He sets a standard that many people don’t have in their vocabulary “perfection”. He’s a high energy go getter and his work is something to strive for each and every time. He keeps us all on our toes and we appreciate his many contributions to why we are as successful as we are. Thank you Bobby!”
Personally I enjoy traveling with my wife in our RV (when I have time), riding my motor cycle and just spending time with my wife and family.
I have been in the plumbing industry for nearly 7 years now. I began my apprenticeship on large construction projects completing jobs on Camp Pendleton doing mainly large underground utilities and facility build outs. As the economy dipped and these projects slowed I happily took a position with Plumbing Plus to expand my skill set to the service and repair side of things. At Plumbing Plus I have been training directly under the lead technicians and my supervisors to soon become a “Service and Repair Plumber”. I’m finding how diverse this “Service and Repair” field is and I’ve come to really appreciate the diverse set of skills it takes to do so. I’m currently responsible for maintaining our warehouse and assisting our Plumbers on their projects ensuring efficiency and cleanliness throughout the jobs. I have completed a 4 year apprenticeship program through the ABC schools and have been obtaining the OJT hours needed to become a Journeyman Plumber. I appreciate all of the support and knowledge I’m receiving from my peers here and know that soon I will able to apply those skills to fit our customer’s needs and exceed their expectations as that is what we stand for here. Owner comment: “Nathan is one of the most positive and hard working guys you’ll ever meet. His work ethic is exemplary. He’s been an absolute pleasure to have around and he will soon be one of the best plumbers in San Diego as we continue to groom him and support his Plumbing career.”
Outside of work I have two children that I obviously enjoy spending every spare minute with. I enjoy my family time and am quite the movie buff.
I’ve been in the plumbing trade for 13 years. I started my apprenticeship with Chicago Plumbers Local # 130 working on a high-rises, schools and hospitals. When Union work slowed down in Chicago, I moved to San Diego and decided to expand my plumbing knowledge into the field of service and repair plumbing.
As a plumber, my duties include water and gas line repairs and replacements, fixture and water heater replacements, repairs and installations, and drain cleaning. I have been trained in AquaPEX water pipe installation and repair, Noritz tankless water heater service, PE and Trac-Pipe gas pipe installations.
I enjoy that every day is a different job. I like the work environment at Plumbing Plus, especially the people. Everyone at Plumbing Plus is great to work with, and it is a real “Team Atmosphere”.
Outside of work, I enjoy Jiu Jitsu, surfing, playing guitar, camping, hiking, and spending time with my family and my dogs Maza and Chief.
I’ve been in the construction industry for the past 10 years as a Senior Project Leader. Working with my hands is the best way for me to stay active. I am a third generation construction worker and look forward to learning the plumbing trade and adding to my construction skills.
I take care of the warehouse, assist the plumbers, and keep the trucks stocked with parts so our plumbers are always prepared. I am enjoying the PHCC apprenticeship program and learning all aspects of the plumbing trade.
I enjoy the people here at Plumbing Plus the most, especially my mom Kelly, our amazing dispatcher! Hobbies & interests outside of work (Personal): My favorite thing is to spend time with my family. Being with my wife, my daughter, and my two boys means the world to me. I also enjoy watching football. Go Chargers!
