From our humble beginnings as a local store offering fine plumbing products, we have grown into one of the most trusted, full-service plumbing companies in the region. Through every service call and project, we have remained steadfast in our commitment to integrity, excellence, and customer care.

1984 – The Beginning

Founded by Joe Christenson in Poway, Plumbing Plus (then known as Plumbco quickly made a name by offering quality products and dependable service. Joe’s vision was simple: provide customers with the products they need and the expertise to install them.

1990s – Expansion and Community Roots

As word spread, Plumbing Plus trucks became a familiar sight across San Diego, trusted for reliable home plumbing solutions. Our team began to expand, allowing us to offer a wider array of services, from bath remodeling to advanced water filtration systems.

2001 – New Leadership and a Rising Star

This was a pivotal year as a young recruit, Michael De Silva, joined the Plumbing Plus family. Starting as a shop helper, Michael’s dedication and skill would see him rise to lead plumber and eventually, co-owner of the company.

2010 – A New Era

In May 2010, Joe passed the torch to Michael and Rachael De Silva, who infused Plumbing Plus with renewed passion and energy. Rachael, with her Top Gun spirit inspired by her dad and special San Diego memories, brought a vision that perfectly complemented Michael’s expertise, setting a high bar for quality and customer service.

Today – 40 Years and Counting
